Elijah

there is an immense pressure in my soul

to write, write, write

and i wonder--yes, i wonder

if it means i won't have too much longer

to share the experience of this soul

before the rapture seizes me

and i make off like elijah,

leaving all you suckers to stare

confused at the sky.
